A “TASTER Day” was held at St Patrick’s Primary School (St Pat’s) last Thursday, allowing preschool children from around the district to experience life at the school.

Children from the Baranbali Camperdown Kindergarten and Banana Splits attended with their teachers and students, and parents from the Western Plains Kinder, Cobden Kinder, Simpson Kinder and Timboon Kinder were invited to attend.

The children took part in activities run by St Pat’s specialist teachers to provide an experience of STEM, AUSLAN, Health and Phys Ed lessons at school.

Principal Tim Bourke extended his gratitude for the “energies and talents” of specialist teachers Paula Atkins, Tracy Hickey and Matthew Harkin for the sessions provided on the day.

“It was a lovely opportunity for the children to become familiar with school and there were many smiles and laughter throughout the day,” he said.
