A touch of green: Students at St Patrick’s Primary School were decked out in green to celebrate their patron saint last Friday.

The green day celebrated the school’s patron saint, Saint Patrick, and his significance to the school community while also tying in with the religious and cultural holiday.

Assistant principal Tarryn Delaney said students attended a school-wide mass and enjoyed a variety of activities for all ages.

“They also enjoyed green jelly with a rainbow before watching their talented Year 3-6 students perform in Green Faces, showcasing impressive acts of dance, singing and comedy,” she said.

“Anderson Vallejo wowed the audience with his spectacular singing and was crowned the winner of Green Faces.

“In the evening, the school welcomed families and the Corangamite community to a St Patrick’s Day picnic.

“The night was filled with joy as families enjoyed face painting, ice cream, live music, and a shared meal.

“It was a fantastic day of celebration and community spirit.”
