April results on the greens
GOLFERS enjoyed the first round of the Davis/Alexander foursomes at Cobden Golf Club last week.
Wednesday’s competition was won by Janine Stevens and Sandra Mason on 70 nett, followed by Chloe and Sherine Healey on 75 nett.
Nearest the pins: 4th and 10th Chloe and Sherine Healey.
Closest on the seventh and second shot on the eighth went to Sandra Mason and Janine Stevens.
Balls down the line – Di McKenzie and Carmel Darcy.
Unfortunately, wet weather prevented competition on Wednesday, April 15.
Stableford and Frank Hodgson were contested on April 8.
A grade was won by Lachie Green, 36 points on countback from runner-up Ellen Darcy on 36.
B grade was won by Julie Simmonds on 39, with Di McKenzie the runner-up on 37.
Winners of the Frank Hodgson trophy were Julie Simmonds and Deb Ferrari on 127 points, followed by Di McKenzie and Janine Stevens on 120.
Nearest the pins: A grade – 4th Lachie Green, 7th Sandra Mason and 10th Sherine Healey; B grade – 4th Jeannine White, 7th Pat Tickner, second shot on the 8th Pat Tickner, and 19th Pat Tickner.; C grade – 3th and 10th Julie Simmonds.
Balls down the line went to Sandra Mason and Ulbe Twystra, both on 36 points.
