Barrett Shield remains in Cobden

THE Barrett Shield remains in Cobden after local golfers defeated Timboon last Saturday.

The shield saw 17 Cobden players finish on an average of 27.2, defeating Timboon’s seven players who had an average of 22.1.

The stableford event attracted 26 players to the Cobden greens on Saturday.

A grade was won by S. Dawson on 34 points from S. Patullock on 33.

B grade was won by A. Giles 30 points from G. Davis on 29.

Nearest the pins: 4th and 7th C. Dobson, 10th D. Bath, closest second on the 2nd A. Stevens and closest second on the 14th S. Plozza.

The privilege pot was won by S. Dawson on 34 points.

This weekend, Saturday, April 18, will be a stableford competition.
