Bloods poll well

TERANG Mortlake’s junior players polled well at this week’s Hampden League vote count.

In the South West TAFE Stuart Brunt Award for under 14 footballers, the Bloods’ Max Heffernan finished in third place with 26 votes.

Max was just three votes behind eventual winner Jack Sobey from the Hamilton Kangaroos on 29 votes.

Fellow Bloods’ Josh Slater (sixth on 20 votes and leading goal kicker) and Kane Killen (8th on 16 votes) also polled well.

In the Rebekah Moroney Memorial Award for 17 and under netballers, Ava Grundy (Terang Mortlake) finished in sixth on 19 votes.

This award was won by Cobden’s Lara Taylor on 36 votes.

In the 15 and under count, Blood Lara Clarke finished 5th with 23 votes.

This award went to Koroit’s Shelby O’Sullivan on 37.

And in the 13 and under netball vote count, Pippa Barr (Terang Mortlake) finished fourth with 24 votes.

This award was won by Koroit’s Indi O’Connor on 29 votes.
