Catholic schools come together
STUDENTS from Catholic schools across the region came together to celebrate their faith and community connections last week.

Camperdown’s St Patrick’s School hosted Mortlake’s St Colman’s School and Terang’s St Thomas’ Primary School as part of a Hampden Catholic Schools Network (HCSN) Day.
St Patrick’s School teacher Paula Atkins said the day saw each school host a different year level across the network.
“This network creates connections and relationships between the schools, families and communities, encouraging the sharing of resources, experiences and learning opportunities,” she said.
“The primary schools gather together in age groups once a year to celebrate this relationship, with children often rekindling friendships, and it’s always a day of fun and connection.
“On Friday, June 5, the junior students gathered at St Patrick’s, the Year Three/Four students at St Colman’s and the Year Five/Six met at St Thomas’.
“Mercy Regional College is the secondary education component in the HCSN, which hosts ‘Taster Days’ for transition to secondary education.”
