Charges laid over stolen vehicle

TWO men have been arrested and charged after police found a stolen vehicle in Foxhow.


Camperdown Police Acting Senior Sergeant Andrew Raven said police attended a Foxhow address on Good Friday (April 3), where one of two stolen vehicles was alleged to have been located.

“Two males were arrested – one aged 24 from Whiteheads Creek and one aged 30 from Foxhow,” he said.

“They were arrested and have been remanded in custody.

“Charges include two charges of theft of motor vehicle, theft of number plates, multiple theft of petrol charges, failure to stop when directed by police – which occurred in Colac – possession of drugs and possession of a taser.

“They are alleged to have stolen fuel from Camperdown on a number of occasions and from Colac.

“One of the vehicles was stolen from Whiteheads Creek in northern Victoria, and one of the vehicles was located dumped at Lake Corangamite.”

Both men appeared in court on Tuesday.
