Close contests for junior Magpies

WITH no senior or under 18 football last weekend due to interleague, the only football played by Camperdown was by it's younger junior sides who faced South Warrnambool at Friendlies Society Park.

The under 16 game was close, South Warrnambool winning 8.12.60 to 8.10.58.

George Sadler, Archie McDonald, Josh Finlayson and Max Rees were best for Camperdown, with Miller Lockhart kicking four goals and Finlayson three.

The under 14 game saw the home team record an 8.15.63 to 3.1.19 win.

Bailey Carman, Oscar Pyle and Fergus Lillie were best for the Magpies, with Pyle, Darby Sinnott and Vincent Titmus kicking a goal each.

South Warrnambool scored a 7.7.49 to 6.8.44 win in the under 12 football.

Jack Hillman, Jamie Gardiner, Knox Fleming and Hamish Christensen were best for the junior Magpies, with Roy Molan kicking two goals with one each to Angus Murphy, Lewie West and William Sinnott.
