LOCAL youngsters have helped bring a story to life at collage sessions at the Timboon and Cobden libraries last week.

Art teacher Mercy McColl led sessions across the Corangamite Moyne library network during school holidays for children.

The collages were inspired by Amy Novesky’s book Cloth Lullaby.

During the workshops, children were able to use a variety of materials to create their collages.

Ms McColl said she was pleased with the attendance at both sessions.

“The kids were excited and super engaged,” she said.

“They just loved doing something fun on the holidays.

“Based on the story they picked their own special person and turned them into an animal they think represents them.”

Timboon Library’s session saw children enjoying creating collages also.
