Council offices closed Wednesday

ANYONE with urgent business for Corangamite Shire Council is encouraged to contact council by Tuesday, July 1 or wait until Thursday, July 3.

Council will not operate any programs on Wednesday, July 2 for an all-staff compulsory training day.

This will include the Civic Centre, all kindergartens and childcare services, Maternal and Child Health services, Positive Ageing, Access and Inclusion programs, Corangamite Regional Landfill, Timboon and Skipton transfer stations, the YAK program at Terang Stadium, and the Camperdown, Cobden, Derrinallum, Terang and Timboon libraries

Chief executive officer David Rae said the compulsory legislative training will ensure all council staff are compliant with current legislation and policies.

“Having a single shut-down will minimise interruption to services and ensure we can serve you better,” he said.

Local Laws will be available on 5593 7100 for emergencies like stock out on local roads, dog attacks or wandering animals.

Family day care will operate, and Camperdown Stadium will open from 4pm as usual.

Services will resume as normal the following day.

Council apologises in advance for any inconvenience this closure day may cause.
