Cruisers promote healthy eating
THE Timboon Cruisers are looking forward to this weekend’s Murray to Moyne Cycle Relay.

The group, which has continued to raise up to $14,000 annually for the Timboon and District Health Service, will cover 520 kilometres over a 24-hour period from Saturday morning.
“We will ride in relay format, with each cyclist clocking a minimum 270 kilometres,” team member Todd Baxter said.
“Some will total around 350 to 400 kilometres.
“A big part of our team’s purpose is to promote cycling as a great sport and a great way to stay active.”
This year the group also wants to help the Timboon and District Health Service to promote healthy eating.
“The money we raise this year will help fund healthy eating programs such as healthy lunch box sessions with playgroups or kindergartens,” Todd said.
“We believe this will address some of the health issues we have in our community.”
The team will leave Echuca at 9.30am this Saturday, April 5, and is expected to arrive in Port Fairy around 10am Sunday.
New members would be most welcome for next year’s event.
