Dig deep for Good Friday Appeal
CAMPERDOWN and district locals are being asked to dig deep for the annual Good Friday Appeal.

CAMPERDOWN and district locals are being asked to dig deep for the annual Good Friday Appeal.
Camperdown appeal co-ordinator Kellie Kempton said the appeal is progressing “full steam ahead”.
She said residents will have a number of opportunities to make a donation this year.
“They can still come along on the day to donate at 269 Manifold Street, Camperdown,” Ms Kempton said.
“The CFA will be helping us collect again this year.”
The virtual tin is also active, with people able to make a donation online via https://www.virtualtinshake.com.au/sponsor and searching for Camperdown.
Residents who would like to help out collecting in Camperdown have been asked to call in at the collection point at 269 Manifold Street prior to Good Friday as well as contacting the Camperdown Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal Facebook page.
“We desperately need collectors,” Ms Kempton said.
“We were not able to cover the whole town last year.
“If anyone can’t collect on Good Friday, but can do it earlier in the week, we can facilitate that too.
“We would love to encourage people to donate their time.”
As well as collections on Good Friday, collection tins will be available from businesses across Camperdown.
Ms Kempton said the community continues to supportthe event.
“Camperdown businesses and residents have always been supportive,” she said.
“It’s a good cause and people are happy to help.”
All collectors must have had their COVID vaccinations.
Locals will also have the chance to purchase a raffle ticket or two, with tickets being sold from outside the
Camperdown Newsagency on Wednesday, April 13.
There are three hampers on offer.
Tickets are $1 each and the raffle will be drawn onGood Friday.
