The 2026 Inventions Competition will no doubt once again attract a number of quality entries across various categories, with competitors all in the running to take home highly-sought after ribbons and trophies.

This one-of-a-kind showcase gives inventors the opportunity to share their ideas, present their creations and inspire those around them.

A variety of categories are available, including:

  • Primary school new invention.

  • Primary school improved and modified invention.

  • Secondary school new invention.

  • Secondary school improved and modified invention.

  • New invention (multinational company, small manufacturer, individual, young entrepreneur).

  • Improved and modified invention (multinational company, small manufacturer, individual, young entrepreneur).

Entries will close on Friday, July 24.

All entries must be dropped off at the Hamilton Showgrounds prior to Friday, July 31.

Judging will commence at 11am on Saturday, August 1 with awards presentations to take place on Sunday afternoon.

All entries will be on display for viewing during Sheepvention, with entries to be collected from 4pm on Monday, August 3.

The inventions exhibition can be found in the Ram Shed.
