Five injured in Berrybank crash

EMERGENCY services responded to a two-vehicle incident on the Hamilton Highway in Berrybank over the long weekend.

Police and ambulance units were called to the incident at the intersection of the Hamilton Highway and Foxhow-Berrybank Road on Sunday, March 9.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said paramedics responded to the scene at around 4.15pm.

“A woman believed to be in her 80s with upper body injuries was airlifted to Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition,” the spokesperson said.

“A woman in her 40s with upper body injuries was transported by road ambulance to Ballarat Base Hospital in a stable condition.

“A man in his 50s with upper and lower body injuries was transported by road ambulance to Ballarat Base Hospital in a stable condition.

“A woman in her 70s with upper and lower body injuries was transported by road ambulance to University Hospital Geelong in a stable condition.

“A child was also transported by road ambulance to Ballarat Base Hospital in a stable condition.”
