Show secretary Sue Stevens said this year’s show is shaping up as a big one.

“It’s going to be the biggest one there’s been in many years trade stand wise – we have more than 40 booked in this year,” she said.

“Fizzics Education will be performing on the day.

“The vintage tractor display will be on and the Car Show and Shine.

“This year we’re having golf ball darts, which is a new idea.”

Animals of Oz will be at the show with an interactive display of Australian animals which will complement the traditional animal nursery, which is always a hit with the young and old alike.

Youngsters will be able to enjoy a host of rides on the day, with an unlimited ride pass available for $20 per child.

Mrs Stevens said all the popular general exhibits will be returning including cattle, horses, show jumping and sheep.

She said the popular mystery show buckets will return at just $5.

Mrs Stevens said cattle numbers were strong so far, along with the horse divisions.

“It’s not too late to get entries in for the homecraft pavilion,” she said.

Mrs Stevens said the show committee hopes there will be something for all ages.

“This year there will be lots of fun and free things for everyone to look at and do,” she said.

“There’s a lot for people this year – there’s something for everyone.

“It will be great to see all the community out and about.”

This year a ‘Cowicature’ competition is being run with entrants encouraged to create a cow made out of any material they like and deliver their entry to the homecraft pavilion on Saturday morning.

Tickets are $15 for an adult, $10 for pensioners, family ticket for $20 and kids under 16 are free.
