Guides host sale

CAMPERDOWN Girl Guides will be running a garage sale this Sunday (June 1) to raise funds for improvements to the Guide Hall.

The sale, which will run from 9am-2pm at the Guide Hall at 251Manifold Street, will feature a wide variety of girls’ clothing alongside second-hand household goods.

Camperdown Girl Guides Guide leader Glenda McIlveen said the garage sale will be well-stocked thanks to community donations.

“It’s fundraising for the Guide Hall, and thanks to the generous donations from the public we have enough to have a lovely garage sale,” she said.

“We had some windows put in the hall, so that’s amazing.

“We just need to buy some blinds, so we thought this would be another way to afford some nice blinds for the hall.

“If anyone has anything they want to donate, they can bring it along.”
