Guides sale sees boon
CAMPERDOWN Girl Guides held a garage sale recently, with girls clothing, toys and sweet treats on offer for residents.

The sale saw the guides raise $400 for the upkeep of the hall, something which guide leader Glenda McIlveen said was “wonderful” considering the current financial climate.
“People are finding it difficult to find extra coins, but that was good,” she said.
“The children’s clothes sold the most, and a lot of the toys.
“We didn’t have many dresses go, but we’ll have them out again later in the year.
“We’re most grateful for all the people who donated.”
Mrs McIlveen said a final decision on the use of the money hadn’t been made yet, but a number of functions were coming up in the guide hall.
“It’ll all go towards some things at the hall – just keeping the hall going so we can rent it out to people and make it nicer for people to hire out for functions,” she said.
