The Lakers put on a solid performance in the field to restrict Pomborneit to 197, with Steven Fisher taking 4/48 off 8.3 overs and Aashish Dube finishing with figures of 3/32 off six.
Chasing Pomborneit, Steven Fisher contributed a handy 65 while Jye McLaughlin added 24.
The Lakers currently sit fifth on the South West Cricket Association ladder, just behind local rivals Cobden in fourth.
With just two rounds remaining of the home and away season, the Lakers will be looking to defeat both Woorndoo and Noorat and hope other results fall their way to have a chance of playing finals.
In the division three competition, Camperdown went down by 60 runs to Ecklin last weekend and now sit in sixth position with just one round remaining of the division three home and away fixture.
Shane Wilson 52 and Shane Stephens 36 were the main contributors in the Lakers’ 146 run scoreline, while Wil Absalom was the best with the ball taking 4/64 off 8.1 overs.
Camperdown finished the day on 146 while Ecklin managed 9/206.
The Lakers will face top side Bookaar at Camperdown this weekend.
