Camperdown Police Sergeant Natalie Jorgensen said the collision occurred at around 11.30am on Sunday, June 8 on the intersection of Cobden-Warrnambool Road and Ayresford Road.

“There were two people in a car – one was airlifted to Melbourne Hospital, and the other went via road to the Royal Melbourne Hospital,” she said.

“They’re both still at hospital

at this point in time.

“The road was closed for about two hours until we cleared the scene.”

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson confirmed two people were transported to hospital, including a man in his late teens who was airlifted to Melbourne.

“Ambulance Victoria responded to an incident in Ecklin South at around 11.20am on June 8,” the spokesperson said.

“A man in his late teens was airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition.

“A woman in her 20s was transported by road to Warrnambool Base Hospital.”

“Drive to the road conditions – it was very wet on that day,” she said.

“When approaching intersections, always stop and have a really good look.”
