McLaughlin surpasses 7000 runs for Lakers
CAMPERDOWN had a six wicket loss to Cobden in round four action of the Colac-South West premier cricket competition.

Batting first in the match shifted from the SA Wright Oval turf to the Camperdown number two hard wicket, the Lakers were bowled out for 195 in the 37th over.
This was Camperdown’s first score under 200 for the season.
An 86 run partnership between Jye McLaughlin and Noah Riches was the highlight of the innings.
McLaughlin made 70 from 61 balls, hitting five fours and three sixes to continue his strong start to the season.
In the process the Camperdown opener passed the 7000 run mark for the club.
Riches made 38 from 29 balls, hitting well with the wind including three fours and three sixes.
Captain Steve Fisher was the only other batter to make a contribution with 49 from 41 balls, also hitting three sixes.
In reply, Cobden passed the Lakers score in the 39th over for the loss of four wickets.
James O'Neil, with 1/18 from 10 overs, and Noah Riches with 2/29 from seven were the best of the Camperdown bowlers.
This week Camperdown will host Colac at SA Wright Oval.

In division three, Camperdown had a three wicket loss to Heytesbury-Princetown at Princetown.
Rob McLaughlin with 22 and Mitch McLaughlin with 20 top scored in the Lakers score of 109.
The Storm passed the score in the 38th over for the loss of seven wickets.
Isaiah Frith was the best of the Camperdown bowlers with 3/13 from eight overs with the new ball.
In women’s cricket, Camperdown had a 38 run loss to Cobden Gold on Wednesday night.
Gold made 5/115 batting first, with Maddison Fisher taking 2/21 from four overs.
Camperdown replied with 4/77, Fisher top scoring with 21.
Monday night’s under 13 game was washed out.
In this week’s games, Camperdown play Boorcan at Boorcan in division three, in the women’s competition the Lakers play Cobden Blue at South Purrumbete on Wednesday, while the under 13s have the bye.
