Medal-winning performances
TERANG College athlete Jackenzie Sharp has brought home two medals from the SSV Secondary State Track and Field Championships.
Terang athlete Jackenzie Sharp brought home two medals from the state championships.
The championships were held at the Lakeside Stadium in Albert Park last Monday, October 21 and attracted a quality field of athletes from across the state.
Sharp performed remarkably well in all three events she entered – the multi-class 100m dash, shot put and long jump.
She brought home a silver medal in the long jump and a bronze in shot put.
Jackenzie crossed the line in second place in the 100m dash but after the para athletics scoring was completed, she was awarded fourth place – narrowly missing a bronze medal by 0.15 per cent.
