Merrivale gets the points over Power
KOLORA-Noorat fell 33 points short of Merrivale in the round nine Warrnambool and District senior football match on Saturday.
.8.32 win at the Merrivale Recreation Reserve.
Henry Kenna, Nick Marshall, Caleb Kavanagh, Louis Cahill, Fred Beasley and Mitchell Wyss were best for the Power in the loss, with George Beasley kicking three goals and Woorndoo/Mortlake permit player Nelson Anders kicking one.
The reserves match saw Kolora-Noorat score a big 19.13.127 to 5.0.30 win.
On his debut in Power colours, crossing from Geelong Football League club North Shore, Sean Talbot bagged eight goals and was named best.
Sam Hutchinson, Hammish Shipcott, Lachie Nield, Bailey Cooper and Cameron Cutler were also named in the best for Kolora-Noorat in the 97-point win, with Cutler and Nield kicking three goals each.
The under 18.5 game saw Kolora-Noorat win 10.5.65 to 6.5.41.
Ben Whytcross, Paddy Scanlon, Fletcher Tolland, Kai Tonkin, Sonny Podger and Flynn Gleeson were best for the Power, with Tonkin kicking four goals, Tolland two with one each to Podger, Bodie Jubb, William Kenna, and Jake Arklay.
Merrivale got the points in the under 13.5 football, winning 7.3.45 to 5.6.36.
Jack Menz, Jimmy Selman, Harrison Gurry, Angus Selman, Charlie Simpson and Nate Lourey were best for the junior Power, with Riley McIntosh kicking two goals.

In the A grade netball, Kolora-Noorat had its first loss in over a month, going down 55-48.
Ailish Glennen, Emily Forrest and Tara Elliott were the Power’s best in the loss.
Elliott shot 29 goals and Forrest 18 in the absence of coach Lillie Bourke.
The A reserve game saw Merrivale win 34-24.
Zoe James, Hayley Collins and Sophie Lehmann were best for the Power, with Nicole O’Shannessy shooting 11 goals and Collins nine.
The B grade game saw Merrivale score a 38-17 win.
Grace Roberts, Lucy Eldridge and Meg Pekin were best, with Pekin shooting 10 goals.
The 17 and under netball saw Kolora-Noorat have a strong 50-19 win.
Stella Kavenagh, Hayley Slattery and Eliza Beaton were the Power’s best, with Harriot Riches shooting 24 goals and Eliza Beaton 11.
Kolora-Noorat scored a 23-12 win in the 15 and under game.
Jade Byron, Courtney Stonehouse and Syriah Guy were best for the Power, with Skyla Coburn and Stonehouse scoring 11 goals each.
Merrivale got the points in the 13 and under game with a 23-8 win.
Hayley Hannabury, Sophie Simpson and Tilli Hutchins were the Power’s best, with Indi Blair shooting five goals.
The 11 and under game saw Merrivale win 26-2.
Scarlett Baulch, Elsie Delaney and Dakota Mason were best for the junior Power team, with Rosie Selman and Mason scoring a goal each.
This weekend Kolora Noorat head to Panmure to take on the Bulldogs.
