Mixed bag for Swans
CARAMUT’S senior footballers had a 20-point loss to SMW Rovers in Mininera League’s round 10 match at Caramut.
The Swans were competitive throughout but always behind in their 10.15.75 to 7.13.55 loss.
Best for Caramut were captain Nathan Murphy, Ryan O’Connor and Jarvis Bermingham, with Damien Wynd kicking three goals to take his season tally to 23.
Rovers also took the points in the reserves game, winning 11.7.73 to 7.10.52.
Joe Douglas kicked five goals for Caramut, with Phil Edwards, Nicholas Borazio and Riley Fox best for the Swans.
Caramut had the bye in the under 16.5s.
SMW Rovers had a 42-41 win in the A grade netball.
Emilie Tonissen and Charlotte van der Starre were best for Caramut, with Tonissen shooting 21 goals and Hayley Mann 16.
Caramut had a big 56-11 win in the B grade game.
Yolie O’Sullivan scored 38 goals in a best on court performance, with Chloe Anderson scoring 18.
Bella O’Sullivan was also named in the Swans best.
In C grade, Caramut had a 39-13 win.
Kristy Lehmann and Rachel Hassett were best for the Swans, Hassett top scoring with 30 goals.
Caramut won the 18 and under netball by forfeit.
Grace O’Sullivan and Yolie O’Sullivan were best for Caramut’s 15 and under team in its 34-8 win.
Yolie O’Sullivan scored 23 goals.
Caramut remain undefeated in the 13 and under netball after a 37-6 win.
Grace O’Sullivan and Alex Lehmann were best for the Swans, with Lehmann scoring 15 goals and Payson Walker 12.
