National selection for Piper
TALENTED Camperdown netballer Piper Stephens has been named among 34 players in the 2026 Australian 17 and Under squad.

The squad, which includes just six Victorians, was announced following the recent national netball championships.
Representing a key step in the national talent pathway, the squads showcase the next generation of elite netball talent from across the country – paving the way for future national and international success.
“The standard across this year’s national championships was exceptional and these athletes have shown they have the potential to succeed at the highest level,” head of pathway selections with Netball Australia, Michelle Wilkins said.
“This group represents the strength and depth of emerging talent in Australian netball right now, and we’re looking forward to supporting their development as they take the next steps in their high performance journey.”

Both the 17 and under, and 19 and under squads, will enter national development camps in July.
These camps have been designed to foster athlete growth and will include specialist and skills-based court sessions, fitness testing and match play.
They will also provide education opportunities in high performance behaviours and cultural literacy.
