A PERCENTAGE-boosting win over Dennington has landed Kolora Noorat third spot on the Warrnambool District ladder.

Last Saturday’s 78-point victory saw the Power move to third, just percentage above Panmure and Russells Creek, all with eight wins on the board going into this weekend’s bye round.

Playing in front of a home crowd last Saturday, the Power took off from the first bounce, dominating the ground and making good use of the ball.

The home side went into the half-time break with a handy 43-point lead and worked hard to extend that in the third and final terms; keeping Dennington scoreless in the fourth.

Final scores were Kolora Noorat 15.25.115 to Dennington 5.7.37.

Sam Uwland, Oscar Curran, Jarrod Evans, Nick Marshall, Caleb Kavanagh and Jacan Brooks were named in the best for the Power.

Goals went to Declan Barbary (3), Paddy Baker, George Beasley and Uwland with two apiece, and singles from Fred Beasley, Tyler Easley, Nicholas Castersen, Kavanagh, Darcy Vick and Justin Wallace.

Kolora Noorat’s reserves found the going tough against Dennington, going down 2.5.17 to 14.13.97.

Best players for the Power were Brad Coleman, Bohdie Gill, Joshua Freeman, Liam Geary, Sam Munro and Jehrin Bateman.

Freeman and Ethan Wyss were the side’s goal kickers with one each.

Kolora Noorat’s under 18 side sits second on the league ladder, with 10 wins to date, just percentage behind ladder leaders Timboon Demons.

The Power was rewarded with an 18-point win over Dennington, 9.6.60 to 7.2.44.

Best for the side were Ethan Wyss, Max Kavanagh, William Kenna, Jackson Gill, Ted Kenna and Darcy Vick.

Kenna and Vick both kicked two goals, while Fred Beasley, Eitan Brooks, Jacan Brooks, Cooper Dunn and Jack Pekin contributed one goal apiece.
