Poachers premiership favourites
AFTER a brilliant season, Poachers will move into the Corangamite volleyball finals as firm favourites to win the A grade flag.
The legendary team lost only two matches and six sets during the season, while accumulating a massive tally of 53 sets in their 16 matches.
NOBTS, who are likely to be Poachers’ grand final opponents, defeated them 2-1 in round four while third team Champs surprised them in round five, also with a 2-1 win.
Since those losses, Poachers have worked hard to strengthen their systems.
Poachers, NOBTS and Champs will contest the A grade finals.
Freeballers, Ballbusters and IGA Ninjas will play in the B grade section.
With registrations now being taken for the winter season, which will begin on Tuesday, July 14, new players and teams should contact Gabrielle 0428 799 690, Bing 0431 231 651 or Kelvin 0429 921 876 as soon as possible so fixtures can be organised.
