Poachers take a tumble
POACHERS took a tumble in round four of the Corangamite volleyball competition when they lost both their matches against solid opposition.
The team now sits fifth on the ladder after losing 1-2 to Freeballers and NOBTS in hard-fought games that could have easily produced different results.
The current competition is very even.
It only takes a week without a key player or two and important matches can be lost.
Other teams will take quick advantage of any weaknesses and improve their ladder position in a single bound.
Cowgirls were the big winners on Tuesday night, taking over fourth place.
Only time will tell if they can hold their place in the face of more experienced teams re-grouping.
NOBTS also had an excellent round. After taking Poachers down they asserted their superiority over Champs who showed a lot of fight but didn’t have the skill to win key points.
