Round 11 saw the Power travel to Walter Oval, keen to retain its spot within the top five with just seven rounds remaining.
The home side got an early jump over the visitors in the first quarter, kicking four goals one to the Power’s 2.4 but by the main break a seven- point buffer had gone the Power’s way.
The home side struggled to add to the scoreboard in the second half, kicking just four points, while Kolora Noorat held firm and kicked 10 majors.
Final scores were Kolora Noorat 14.18.102 to South Rovers 4.5.29.
Best for the Power were Fred Beasley, Joel Moloney, Declan Barbary, Paddy Baker, Joel Dillon and Mitchell Wyss.
Baker and Ed Lee were strong in front of goals, kicking three each, while Ted Kenna kicked two and Fred Beasley, George Beasley, Jacan Brooks, Nicholas Castersen, Darcy Vick and Justin Wallace each contributed one.
It was not an easy round for the Power’s reserve side, going down to South Rovers 30.13.193 to 1.0.6.
Joshua Freeman, Tyler Beasley, William Ryan, Bohdie Gill, Nathan Glennen and Jackson Gill were in the best for the Power while Beasley was the side’s only goal scorer.
Earlier in the day, the under 18s were also outplayed by South Rovers, defeated 4.4.28 to 11.8.74.
Jackson Gill, Ben Carlin, Max Kavanagh, Bohdie Gill, Jack Pekin and Eltan Brooks were best for the Power while goals were shared between Nathan Gee, Bohdie Gill, Hamish Molan and Xavier Riches.
A grade – Kolora Noorat defeated South Rovers 63-16.
A reserve – Kolora Noorat lost to South Rovers 27-45.
B grade – Kolora Noorat defeated South Rovers 31-28.
17 and under – Kolora Noorat defeated South Rovers 36-26.
15 and under – South Rovers defeated Kolora Noorat 32-7.
13 and under – Kolora Noorat drew with South Rovers 12-12.
The Power will host Dennington at Noorat this Saturday.
