Power takes charge
KOLORA Noorat secured a second senior football win of the season with a 16.16.112 to 8.6.54 win over South Rovers at the Walter Oval.

A dominant nine goals to three first half in favour of the Power set up the 58 point victory.
“It was really pleasing how we burst out of the blocks,” Power co-coach Justin Wallace said.
Aaron Robertson was named best for the Power, Wallace liking what he brought to the game.
“Aaron was very vocal early, he set the tone and gave great leadership.”
Wallace and Thomas Justin kicked four goals each for the Power.
“I got on the end of a few and Thomas gave us a strong target up forward,” Wallace said.
Under 18 player Ben Whytcross became the latest player to make his senior debut for Kolora Noorat.
“Ben certainly didn't look out of place, and he kicked a ripper goal from the boundary.”
A big match now awaits against Timboon this week.
“Timboon is always tough so we’re looking forward to it and very happy it’s on our home deck (at Noorat).”
In the reserves, Kolora Noorat narrowly won all four quarters to record a 6.10.46 to 6.1.37 win.
Riley Scanlon kicked four for the Power, with Fraser Guthrie and Daniel Carr named as best.
South Rovers was too good in the under 18s, recording an 8.8.56 to 4.5.29 win.
Jack Smerdon, Archie Curran and Ted Kenna were Kolora Noorat’s best and Kenna also kicked two goals.
It was a tough day for the Power under 15s, going down 18.18.126 to 0.4.4.

South Rovers was also dominant in the under 13s, scoring a 12.5.77 to no score win.
Best for the Power were Archie Coxon, Crawford Dunn and Hamish Messer.
Kolora Noorat’s A grade netballers had an impressive 44-36 win, their second victory of the season.
“It was just a good team effort, we put in a solid four quarter performance,” Power coach Lillie Bourke said.
Bourke scored 20 goals as goal attack with goal shooter Matilda Curran scoring 22.
Bourke was full of praise for newly appointed captain Kate Jubb who was named best on court.
“Kate was strong in defence and really stood up like she has all season,” she said.
“We announced her as captain this week; we wanted to see how the first few weeks played out before we gave the nod to someone and Kate has certainly earned the role.”
Under 18 player Isla Nolan was brought in to make her A grade debut, scoring two goals.
“We gave Isla a run towards the end of the third quarter and she shot a couple of goals and looked really good,” Bourke said.
Kolora Noorat got the points in the A reserve netball, 37-20.
Steph Jenkins and Grace Lee were named best players, Lee scoring 16 goals for the Power.
In B grade netball, South Rovers won 32-28, with Alexandra Smith scoring 17 goals and Katherine Sloane best for the Power.
Matilda Curran scored 24 goals and Isla Nolan 13 in the Power’s 48-39 win in the 17 and under netball.
Kolora Noorat won the 15 and under game 37 to 20, Harriot Riches scoring 23 goals and Zoe Roberts 10, with Olivia Coburn best for the Power.
Kolora Noorat also had a strong win in the under 13 netball, 40-5.
Skyla Coburn scored 22 goals for the Power, with Tilli Hutchins named as best.
