Quad bike fatality in Peterborough

POLICE are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash in Peterborough which took place early Sunday morning.


“Emergency services responded to reports of a quad bike rolling on Jarvis Road at around 5.10am,” a Victoria Police spokesperson said.

“The female rider, who is yet to be formally identified, sadly died at the scene.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident, has dashcam footage or any other information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.”

This was the second fatal road crash in the south west region over the weekend, following an incident in Nelson.

A total of 148 lives have been lost on the roads this year, which is an increase from the 135 lives lost on roads at this time last year.
