Reserve, PO break-ins

POLICE are appealing for information following two break-ins in Lismore last week.

Warrnambool Criminal Investigation Unit Detective Acting Sergeant Derek Verity said the break-ins at the Lismore Recreation Reserve and the Lismore Newsagency were believed to have occurred between June 24 and June 28 and involved unknown offenders.

Police believe the break-in at the Lismore Newsagency, which resulted in a broken lock, occurred at around the same time offenders attended the Lismore Recreation Reserve.

“They have gone through and searched through cupboards and rooms,” Det Act Sgt Verity said.

“They left by unlocking a door from the inside.

“At this stage, it is unsure what has been stolen.

“Any information at all in relation to that offence or the post office one – we’d be highly grateful.”

Anyone with information or CCTV or dashcam footage is encouraged to contact Warrnambool Criminal Investigation Unit on 5560 1333 or by contacting Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
