Round eight for Lions

THE Corangamite Lions have gone down 2-1 to the second-placed Sebastopol Vikings in their round eight Ballarat and District Soccer Association division one match.

The match, played at St Georges Reserve in Sebastopol, saw Flavien Riviere score the only goal for the Lions – recording his fifth for the season.

The division two Lions had a 5-0 loss, while Corangamite’s division one women’s team was defeated 6-0.

The Lions’ under 12 team played Forest Rangers at Scotts Creek and had its first win of the season.

Hamish Messer scored four goals and Lincoln Rowe one in the junior Lions’ 5-2 victory.
