Round three of Winter Cup

ROUND three of the Frank Northeast Winter Cup attracted 24 players to the Cobden Golf Club late last month.

Saturday, June 30 saw D. Stewart and A. Giles both finish square, with Stewart winning A grade on a countback.

B grade was won by D. Brown -2 on countback from T. Gardner -2 and B. Bourke -2.

Nearest the pins: 3th and 7th Lach Green, 10th P. Irvine, closest second on the 2nd B. Welsby and closest of the 14th A. Holster.

A. Holster eagled the part five, third hole to win the McQuinn Plumbing eagles nest.

Winter Cup results – 1st A. Giles +4, 2nd C. Dobson -1, 3rd G. Rix -2 and D. Bath -2.

Balls down the line went to G. Rix, Lach Green, B. Bourke, D. Bath and C. Sargeant.
