Sarah set to cut locks
THE World’s Greatest Shave is a fundraiser close to Timboon district’s Sarah Pender’s heart.
On Thursday, she will be officially giving her long locks the chop as part of the World’s Greatest Shave fundraiser.
Ms Pender is hoping to raise $550 for the cause, with the goal in reach.
She said will be cutting her hair at 3pm at Miller and Mane in Timboon.
“I’m a little bit nervous to cut my hair; I’ve always had long hair,” Ms Pender said.
“I’ve been growing it for two years now.
“I should be cutting at least 32 centimetres.”
Ms Pender said the cause is personal for her.
“My niece was diagnosed with leukaemia and ever since then I’ve always wanted to give back to the charity that gave them so much as a family,” she said.
“Thank you to everyone who has donated so far.”
The hair which is cut will also be donated.
