Shire to launch business bootcamp
BUDDING business people who don’t know where to start can get a kick start at an upcoming bootcamp in Camperdown.
Corangamite Shire Council, with the support of LaunchVic, will be hosting a Roving Runway Regional Incubator (RRRI) Bootcamp to connect regional entrepreneurs with mentors, guidance, and like-minded start-ups.
The event will be hosted at the Killara Centre in Camperdown, 210-212 Manifold Street, on Saturday, February 8 from 9am-4pm.
During this one-day bootcamp, participants will gain clarity on issues impacting burgeoning businesses including the problems their startup aims to solve, and how to reach the target audience they are addressing.
Corangamite Shire Council manager economy and prosperity Katy McMahon said the bootcamp was the first step toward joining the Runway Incubator Program.
“The team will walk participants through the details of the Incubator Program and how it can support their growth,” she said.
“Launch your idea by learning in a highly supported environment.
“They will learn techniques used by successful start-ups all over the world to develop their product or service to a point where it is ready for the market.”
Ms McMahon said one of the keys to success is surrounding yourself with the right people.
“This is an opportunity to build connections with like-minded individuals,” she said.
“They will support you, inspire you, keep you motivated, and share what they have learnt on their own journey.”
Participants should bring a laptop, pen and notebook.
Food and drinks will be provided.
