Sport returns to South Purrumbete Reserve
THIS weekend will see the return of community sport to the South Purrumbete Reserve for the first time in 25 years.
The reserve will this Saturday play host to South West Cricket Association’s division two match between Pomborneit and Cobden.
Local volunteers have been working hard in recent months to ensure the ground, and the reserve, is well prepared for this weekend’s match.
As the last community asset in this small dairy community, local residents will no doubt be looking forward to seeing the facility come to life once more.
The game is scheduled to start at 11.30am.
