Strong field at Cobden

TWENTY-one players contested last Saturday’s privilege pot at the Cobden Golf Club.

The stableford event was won by B. Cook on 38 points followed by runner-up L. Green on 37.

The B grade winner was R. Ponting on 42 followed by A. Rosolin on 39.

Balls down the line: L. Robertson, R. Barlow, D. Absalom, M. Drayton, A. Giles and F. Bosch.

Nearest the pins: 4th F. Bosch, 7th A. Giles, closest second on the 14th B. Cook.

The privilege pot was won by R. Ponting on 42 points.

The pairs matchplay handicap saw L. Green and B. Cook defeat D. Absalom and J. Walker 4-3.

This Saturday will be round two of the Barrett Shield (stableford).
