Struggle for depleted Demons
A DEPLETED Timboon Demons senior football team had a 69-point loss to Allansford in the round four Warrnambool and District match on Saturday.
Playing at the Allansford Recreation Reserve, star forward Robbie Hare bagged 11 goals in the home team’s 18.16.124 to 7.13.55 win.
Missing for Timboon were Archie Dalziel, Will Benallack, Lyndon Allsop, Ned Deppeler and skipper Mitch Wallace.
The Demons handed senior debuts to two of their under 18.5 players in Thomas Ryan and Lachie McLennan.
Best for Timboon in the loss were Oliver Delaney, Rhys Ziegelaar and Tayne Berry.
Recruit Tarkyn Love continued his strong start to the season with four goals, with Eddie Gaut kicking two.
This week sees the Demons host Nirranda at the Timboon Recreation Reserve.
In the reserves, Allansford won by 61 points, 9.16.70 to 1.3.9.
Steven Crees, Jhyce Bartlett and Zeth Kerr were the Demons best, with Tom Archibald kicking the only goal.
Allansford was too strong in the under 18.5 football, scoring a 13.13.91 to 0.5.5 win.
Best for Timboon were Toby Gale, Oliver Makin and Jhyce Bartlett.
The under 16 match also saw Allansford too strong, winning 18.14.122 to 1.1.7.
Jed Watson, Jeddah Loughnan and Dane Nicholls were the Demons best, with Loughnan kicking the only goal.
In the under 13.5 game, Allansford scored an 11.12.78 to 2.2.14 win.
Best for Timboon were Leo Makin, Harry Salmon and Harry Kuhl, with Jake McNeill and Fletcher Hickey kicking a goal each.

In the A grade netball, Allansford was too strong, scoring a 55-26 win.
Best for the Demons were Holly Kordupel, Amy Kavenagh and Holly Delaney, with Brianna Gass scoring 13 goals.
In A reserve, Allansford got the points with a 41-37 win.
Giaan Gration, Zalia Hanegraaf and Isabelle Moorhead were the Demons best, with Hannah Maxwell shooting 26 goals.
Allansford took out the B grade game with a 51-23 win.
Sarah Brown, Taya Hanegraaf and Tarsha Duro were the Demons best, with Brown shooting nine goals.
In the 17 and under netball, Allansford won 42-13.
Ruby Jones, Taya Hanegraaf and Heide Delaney were best for the Demons in the loss.
Timboon scored a 42-24 win in the 15 and under game.
Elise Quarrell, Indii McKenzie and Emily McLennan were best for the Demons, with McKenzie shooting 16 goals and Aysha Hollick 15.
The 13 and under game saw Timboon have a 49-14 win.
Annabel Doolan led the scoring with 19 goals, with Grace Richardson scoring 16 and Elizabeth Plozza 13.
In the 11 and under netball, Timboon had a big 25-1 win.
Best for the junior Demons were Isla Dickinson, Gretel Hollick and Isla Lenehan, with Hollick shooting 13 goals and Lenehan seven.
