Success continues for local trainers
CAMPERDOWN owner/trainers Denis Daffy and granddaughter Harriet Place have celebrated yet another victory for their stables.
The formidable duo was trackside when ‘Port Louis’ stormed home to win by a length and a half at Mt Gambier last Wednesday.
This was the sixth victory to date for the seven year-old gelding since coming under Daffy, Place and their connections.
“We’ve been thrilled with how he’s running so far,” Place said.
“A week prior to his Mt Gambier win, where he was ridden by Harry Grace, he also won at Hamilton (with jockey Ryan Hurdle) over the same distance. We’re on an exciting journey with him.”
With two wins in as many weeks, ‘Port Louis’ is certainly a horse to watch.
