Table tennis round two
ROUND two of the Terang Table Tennis competition saw Nelson and The Unknown have their first wins while another match will be decided in the coming weeks.
The Unknown’s first win was against Rob Markable and was a hard fought 3-2 win, with Michael Pearson and sub Paul Healey winning the singles and the doubles to get them across the line.
The doubles winner was decided in five games.
Mark Smith won both of his singles for Rob Markable while the closest match was between Paul Healey and Rob Herry with Paul winning 11-7, 12-10, 12-10.
Nelson had a strong 4-1 win over Total Tools, with Trevor McDowell winning both singles games convincingly and the doubles with Paul Weston in a closely fought match that went to four games.
Paul won his first singles game in his return to table tennis, defeating Brad Burkit in his first match in three games.
Snapper@Crofts and Young at Heart will continue their encounter with only one rubber being able to be played.
