Timboon Probus Club Notes

PRESIDENT Charles welcomed 41 members and four guests to our March General Meeting and later our Annual Meeting for 2025.

By wd-news

New members Pam Dixon and Beverley Anderson were inducted and presented with their Probus Kit and warmly welcomed into our Probus Club.

Business from the last meeting minutes were dealt with and reports given.

President Charles thanked each member from the committee for their support and voluntary work during the year.

Reports were given, by some of them for the last time.

Get well cards have been sent out to four members and happy birthday sung to another two.

Trips and outings will be meeting at the Pombo Mart for lunch, a history lesson on its interesting ups and downs, and a good browse amongst its treasurers.

Timboon managed to have an article printed in The Victorian Probian Magazine about our celebrations of the ‘40 Years of Probus’ and the Caravan Club enjoyed the Sheep Dog Trials and Jazz Festival in Port Fairy.

The Annual Meeting for 2025 then proceeded and the changing of the guard was conducted by Probian Neville Rantall.

Our new president Hans Kruse was duly elected and inducted vice president Louise Blair, secretary Don McInnes, treasurer Graeme Murfett and several new committee members.

Special thanks to retiring secretary Jean Giblett and newsletter maestro Marg Gristede.

An ongoing ‘activity’ for both, requiring dedication and skill much appreciated and enjoyed by all club members.

Morning tea and a birthday cake to celebrate our 19th birthday and a special photo of the 13 original foundation members, of which seven were present that day.

Sadly, since this last meeting, one of our foundation members, Neville Rantall, passed away suddenly.

He was instrumental in the running of the club being one of our early presidents and will be sadly missed.

Our condolences to Pam and family.
