Tough round for Frogs
ECKLIN had an eight wicket loss at Birregurra on Saturday in its round five match in the Colac-South West premier cricket competition.

Batting first, the Frogs made a solid start, reaching 2/55 before regular wickets started to fall.
Ecklin was dismissed in the 35th over for 117.
Henry Carroll top scored with 28 from 42 balls, with openers Kevin Wines and Harry Carter making 25 and 18 respectively.
Birregurra had little trouble in the run chase, passing the Frog’s total in the 17th over for the loss of two wickets.
New ball bowlers Stuart Timms and Jamie Dewell took a wicket each.
This week Ecklin will host Camperdown at Ecklin.
The division two Frogs hosted Pomborneit at Derrinallum due to the Ecklin ground not being ready to play on.
Pomborneit batted first, and after slumping to 3/35 recovered to make 5/215 from its 40 overs.
Anthony Clark bowled eight tight overs, taking 1/11, while the highlight was a superb diving catch in the covers by Max Fahey to dismiss Ben Whytcross.
Ecklin could only manage 60 in reply, with no batsman reaching double figures.
In division three, Ecklin had a seven wicket loss to Pomborneit Maroon at South Purrumbete.
The Frogs innings was in tatters at 6/29 before captain Tim Carroll and Neil Gowland rescued the score.
Carroll made 37 from 51 balls, with Gowland smashing 56 from 31 balls including 11 boundaries to get the total to a competitive 133.
Pomborneit Maroon cruised to victory in the 25th over for the loss of three wickets, Gowland taking 2/34 from eight overs.
Monday night’s scheduled under 13 game was washed out.
This week Ecklin play Bookaar at Frederick Street in division two, while the division three Frogs play Cobden at Camperdown number two.
On Monday night Ecklin play Boorcan at Boorcan in the under 13s.
