Vital works underway
THE Department of Transport and Planning is improving safety for drivers through a series of works programs.

Landslip geotechnical works are underway along the Cobden-Port Campbell Road and the Timboon-Port Campbell Road.
These works aim to assess, design and implement methods to reduce the risk of landslides onto the road network.
Barwon South West and Grampians executive director Michael Bailey said the works were part of the state government’s $225 million investment into the Great Ocean Road region.
“We’ve invested $115 million to deliver vital road upgrades on key routes between the Great Ocean Road and the Princes Highway,” he said.
“Works at both locations include the construction of new retaining walls, pavement and barriers to improve safety for all road users and protect the natural roadside landscape.”
