Volleyball to start this month
THE new season of Corangamite Volleyball looks set to start later this month.
Interest is running high as the competition prepares to recommence in 2025.
Once again games will be played in the recreation centre at Cobden Technical School, with teams of all abilities most welcome to enter the social competition.
Since its inaugural year in 1978, Tuesday night has always been reserved for volleyball in the Corangamite area.
This designated night allows for senior and junior footballers and netballers, who enjoy using volleyball to sharpen up their ball skills, to enter a team.
It is also a perfect opportunity for all other sporting and non-sporting types who would like to enjoy a team sport without becoming too fatigued.
Teams can be all male, all female, or mixed with ages from 13 through to 70+ most welcome to join.
Three, nine or 10-week seasons/school terms are generally played each year, giving new players the opportunity to test themselves over a short period before deciding to play long-term.
Volleyball Corangamite looks forward to again welcoming its tried-and-true players and teams back to the fold, as well as any new recruits looking to try the sport.
For more information contact Gabe Bellman on 0428 799 690, Ingrid Bellman 0431 231 651 or Kelvin White 0429 921 876 to register your interest.
A warm-up night will be held on Tuesday, April 22 from 7pm onwards.
