Week of Golf results
THE first two days of Cobden Golf Club's 'Week of Golf' competition saw some good results recorded.
The Cobden Plate, contested last Saturday, was won by Noah Mounsey (Peterborough), Louis Robertson (Cobden) and Jack Hammond (Cobden) with an aggregate score of 102 stableford points.
The individual winners were as follows:
1st D. Oakley (41 points), 2nd A. Holster (39), 3rd M. Drayton (37) and 4th D. Buckle (37).
Nearest the pins: 4th L. Robertson, 7th R. Wills (Yea) and 10th J. Hammond.
Straightest drive on the 3rd and 15th was H. Rix (9cm).
Balls down the line: A. Gardner, B. Stephens (Colac), A. Rule (Yea), A.Giles, T. Gardner, B. Welsby, M. Hallyburton, A. Stevens, R. Barlow, J. Creese, K. Duffin, J. Walker and M. O’Dowd (Colac).
The three-man ambrose last Sunday attracted another good field of players.
The scratch winners were A. Couch, D. Mounsey (Peterborough) and M. Darcy.
Runners-up were S. Clissold, J. Clissold and L. Clarke (all from Camperdown).
The handicap winners were S. Rix, R. Johns (Timboon) and M. Drayton while the runners-up were L. Robertson, N. Mounsey (Peterborough) and J. Hammond.
Balls down the line: Ra, Sonny and Makyle Tupene (all from Birregurra), J. Phillips (Yea), A. Pell (Yea) and A. Holster, Isaac Stephens, N. Swayn and Keith Stephens (all from Camperdown) and J. Reed, G. Byrne and M. Absalom.
Nearest the pins: 4th J. Clissold, 7th A. Pell and 10th A. Stevens.
Straightest drive: A. Holster 183cm and the monster putt winner was E. Osgood.
