Wet conditions for Timboon golfers

CONDITIONS were wet under foot for golfers at the Timboon course last Wednesday, April 3.


It rained for a couple of hours of play, which made conditions less than ideal.

The stroke/silverspoon 4/monthly medal four winner was Vera Convey 100-20-80 on a countback from Judy Walsh 92-12-80 – on countback from Maureen Clements 100-20-80.

Nearest the pin (second shot on the seventh) was won by Andrea Thompson, having putted the ball in the hole.

Nearest on the 13th was Donna Weller.

Last Saturday 25 members played stableford, which included a play-off for the Timboon Motors Plate.

A grade winner was Matthew Walker with 38 points on a countback from Hamish Huffadine.

Third was Wes Hollick with 36 points.

B grade winner was Barry Cook with 43 points from Chris Huffadine on 35.

Nearest the pins: 5th Rodney Edge, 7th Wes Holick and 10th Judy Delaney.

Cody Noonan won the Nutrien ball for his second shot on the 11th and Gavin Rundle won the South West Car Care Ball for his second shot on the 13th.

Thursday’s 12-hole day was a phantom draw for the last round of daylight savings.

The winners were Mick Plozza and Darryl Neal with 54 points from Terry O’Connor and Peter Plozza with 52.

Nearest the pin was Kevin Plozza.

Next Saturday will be four-person ambrose (any combination).
