Witnesses sought after door smashed
MORTLAKE police have put out an appeal for information after three offenders smashed in a front door while a young family slept inside.
Sergeant Nathan Hunt said the incident had occurred over the weekend on Sunday, March 29 at 2am.
“Police are appealing for information to help catch three offenders who damaged a residential home in Webster Street,” he said.
“It appears the offending parties have intentionally damaged the property’s front door before leaving the scene on foot towards Dunlop Street, Mortlake.
“Police are appealing to anyone who might have seen a person or persons acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the incident to come forward.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or the Mortlake Police Station on 5599 2501.”
